SEED’s primary source of funding is through several fundraising events held throughout the year. Our three most recent events, Casino Fun in the Sun (August), Inagural Golf Tournament (November) and An Evening in Paris Gala (February) helped to raise over $35,000 for our schools. Money provided by SEED has been instrumental in providing funding for the following:

In addition, the SEED Foundation, in cooperation with the BUSD, successfully applied for federal funding in the amount of $775,000 for after-school academic enrichment programs for three years. The BEST program opened its doors in 2001 and provided numerous after-school classes for all students in the district.
Other past SEED events have included a Luau, Wine Tasting & Burgers for Books.
In 2006, the SEED Foundation was honored to be able to send one very deserving 8th Grade student, TJ Lopez, on the 8th Grade Field Trip to Washington D.C. This is what TJ had to say about the experience:
Dear SEED Foundation,
I would like to thank you for your donation. It has been the best experience of my life, I know that I will always remember and cherish this trip. It was definitely the most wonderful thing that I will probably ever
do and I wouldn't be able to do it without you. I learned many things about our country that I did not know. Just for the record my favorite was the Arlington National Cemetery. Again I would like to say a heartfelt thank
you because I couldn't have been on this once-in-a-lifetime trip if it wasn't for you.
Sincerely,
TJ Lopez
